Lawn sprinkler installation, smart Hydrawise systems, same-day repair, spring openings from $90 and fall winterization across every East Gwillimbury community — Sharon, Holland Landing, Mount Albert, Queensville, Brown Hill, Ravenshoe and the surrounding concession roads.
If Newmarket is our home base, East Gwillimbury is the next-door neighbour. Sharon and Holland Landing are 5-10 minutes from our shop. Mount Albert and Queensville are 15. The result: when you call us, we usually arrive faster than any other irrigation contractor in the region — same-day during season, often within the same morning.
The mix of property types here is unusual. New-construction subdivisions in Sharon and Queensville, established Holland Landing homes, custom rural builds along the concession roads, and acreage properties with private wells out near Brown Hill and Ravenshoe. Each segment needs a different irrigation strategy — and we know what works on each one because we've installed and serviced systems across all of them.
A meaningful share of East Gwillimbury rural properties run on private wells rather than municipal supply. Well-fed irrigation has fundamentally different design requirements than municipal-supply: pump-protection logic, sustainable run-times based on recovery rate, pressure stability so your house water doesn't drop when sprinklers run. We measure your well's actual sustained yield at the quote stage and design accordingly. Templates don't work here — well sizing matters.

Backflow testing is a separately-licensed trade in Ontario. PJL does not service backflow assemblies but can refer you to a certified tester if yours needs annual recertification.
In East Gwillimbury, the safe window for spring opening is typically the second week of April through mid-May, after the last hard frost. Opening too early risks freeze damage to backflow assemblies and exposed risers. EG is directly north of our Newmarket base — book early in March to lock in your preferred week.
Our service call (mobilization + on-site assessment) is $95. Repair labour is billed at $95 from there. Common parts costs: sprinkler head replacement $68, pipe break repair from $120, full 3-valve manifold rebuild starting at $135 plus valves. If our AI-Smart-Intake diagnostic tool correctly predicts the fix, you get one hour of repair labour free on the diagnosed work — our only standing discount.
Yes — East Gwillimbury is our fastest-response service area. Sharon and Holland Landing are 5-10 minutes from our Newmarket base, Mount Albert and Queensville about 15. In-season we hold same-day repair slots for bookings made before 11 AM, typically 1-3 hours from your call to on-site arrival.
East Gwillimbury falls under York Region's Outdoor Water-Use Bylaw. From May 15 to September 30, lawn watering is permitted on odd-numbered calendar days for odd-numbered house addresses and even-numbered days for even addresses, between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. or 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. New sod and seed get a one-month grace period. Properties on private wells fall outside the municipal bylaw, but we still program controllers to a sensible schedule. We set this automatically during spring opening.
The Ontario frost line is approximately 1.2 metres (4 feet) in the York Region, but irrigation lines don't need to be buried that deep — they're drained and pressurized only during the warm months. PJL buries mainlines 8–12 inches deep and laterals 6–8 inches deep, which is standard for the GTA. Fall winterization (compressor blowout) is what protects them from freeze damage, not depth.
Yes — Hydrawise retrofits are one of our specialties. Patrick is Hunter-certified through Hunter University, and we install Hunter HPC-400 Hydrawise WiFi controllers on existing systems regularly. Pricing: $595 for 1–4 zones, $750 for 5–7 zones, $1,195 for 8–16 zones, all-in. Typical install takes under 90 minutes.
